Differentiating Instruction and Tracking Growth
State Departments of Education can link the end-of-year-assessments with Quantile measures to broaden the usefulness of these tests. Assessments that provide Quantile measures can be used formatively to target needs and differentiate instruction. Because the measures are on a single scale from primary through secondary mathematics, these measures can be used to track individual growth over time.
The Quantile Framework for Mathematics is aligned with all states’ standards including the Common Core Standards for Mathematics. Educators and parents can use the Quantile Framework to prepare for instruction that suits each student’s needs.
For more information about using the Quantile Framework at your State Department of Education please contact Anne Schiano, Senior Vice President of Government Relations, at email@example.com.
